Download and export
You can download the compiled PDF, a single file, or all the source files of a branch as a .zip. Every member of a project can download, including Viewers.
Download the PDF
Section titled “Download the PDF”- Open the project in the editor and compile it. See Compile your first PDF.
- In the preview toolbar, click Export PDF.
- Click Download.
The file is named after the project and the current version, or document.pdf. It is the PDF in the preview right now, so it can include changes that aren’t in a saved version yet.
Download all source files as a .zip
Section titled “Download all source files as a .zip”Luzbase builds the .zip in the background and emails you a link.
- On the project page, open Settings → Export & templates (Export if you’re a Viewer).
- Under Export, choose the branch. The default branch is selected.
- Click Email me a .zip.
Luzbase shows Preparing your export. We will email you a download link when it is ready. When the email arrives, click the link in it. You can also download the file from Recent exports on the same page: each ready export shows its size, when its link expires, and a Download button.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| What’s included | The branch’s last saved version |
| What’s left out | Changes made since the last Save version… |
| File name | project-branch-version.zip |
| Link valid for | 7 days |
If the branch has no saved version yet, Luzbase says This branch has no saved version yet, so there is nothing to export. You can export archived projects too.
The .zip can be imported again as a new project. See Upload and import.
Download a single file
Section titled “Download a single file”- Documents tab: on the project page, open Documents, choose the branch, click a file, then click Download. This is the file as it was at the branch’s last saved version.
- History tab: open a saved version and download any file as it was in that version. See Version history.
- In the editor: when you open an image or PDF from the file tree, its preview has a Download link.
In the Documents tab you can also click Copy to copy the contents of a text file.
What you can’t download
Section titled “What you can’t download”- There is no instant download of the whole project; the source .zip always comes by email link.
- The compiler’s log,
.auxand.bblfiles can’t be downloaded. Use Copy logs in the Output panel to copy the log. - There is no export of all your data across projects. To ask about your data, contact us.
