Accept an invitation
When a project owner invites you, you get an email and, if you already have an account, an in-app notification. Accept the invitation to join the project with the role the owner chose.
Accept from the email
Section titled “Accept from the email”- Open the invitation email and click its link.
- If you are signed out, you see Sign in to view this invitation. Click Sign in, or Create account if you are new to Luzbase. Use the email address the invitation was sent to.
- Check the details on the Join {project} card: Project, Invited by, Role and Expires.
- Click Accept invitation, or Decline if you do not want to join.
When you accept, Luzbase shows “You joined {project}.” and the project appears in your project list under Shared with me. Nothing happens until you click: opening the link never accepts on its own.
Accept from Luzbase
Section titled “Accept from Luzbase”If you are already signed in, you can answer without the email:
- On the Projects page, a banner says “You have N pending invitations.” Click Review.
- Or open Notifications from your avatar menu. Pending invitations are listed at the top with Accept and Decline.
If something is wrong
Section titled “If something is wrong”| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| “This invitation was sent to a different address than the one you are signed in with” | Click Switch account and sign in with the invited address. You can only accept with the address the invitation was sent to. |
| Verify your email to join {project} | Open the verification link Luzbase emailed you, then come back and accept. |
| This invitation has expired | Invitations are valid for 7 days. Ask the project owner to send you a new one. |
| This invitation was withdrawn | The owner revoked it. Contact them if you think that was a mistake. |
| This invitation is no longer available | The project may have been deleted, or your email app cut the link short. Copy the whole link from the email; if it still fails, ask the owner to invite you again. |
| A message that the project has no collaborator seats left | The project is full on the owner’s plan. Ask the owner to free a seat or upgrade, then open the invitation again. |
After you join
Section titled “After you join”What you can do depends on your role. See Roles and permissions. To start writing, open the project and click Open in editor; see Edit together in real time.
If you later want to leave the project, see Manage members.
